Question: What limitations are there with regards to weather when field vulcanizing strip seal glands?

Answer: The temperature must be 40 Degrees Fahrenheit or higher to field vulcanize strip seal glands. This work cannot be done in any type of wet weather.

This work will require a D.S. Brown Technical Representative as well as the vulcanizing machine.

Jobsites could require strip seal glands (A2R-SEAL, A2R-XTRA, A2RO-SEAL, L2-SEAL, L2-500, E2M-SEAL, KX-73, KX-74 & KX-75 glands) to be field vulcanized. A strip seal gland may have been damaged or could require staging.
